This is one of my favorite photos taken while on vacation. In a state of vast plains and open fields, it’s easy to overlook the simple, quiet beauty Kansas can possess. Various colors of green under a variegated blue sky, a still pond with cows in the background, and a dead tree surrounded by life make for a picture full of undertones.

Sunset on the Farm #1

Southeastern Kansas sunset.  The picture was taken on a farm in Wellington, KS where the brick and mortar Countrysidewalk Trading Post resides.
